Conwy

It's a 5 hour train ride with two changes to get from Moreton to Conwy. We had time to eat breakfast before the first train and planned on getting some food on a later train. There were snacks and drinks on the ride that was about less than an hour but not the other two. In fact, the train from Birmingham to Conwy had only two cars. It wasn't nearly as nice as the other trains. Wales apparently gets no respect.

Once we got to Conwy in the late afternoon, we walked from the station to the rental. It's called Castle Wall Cottage and is very close to a  castle wall. But it's up a steep hill so lugging suitcases was a workout. It's a one minute drive but we didn't try Uber because we knew no one would pick us up and we didn't know we'd be walking up a hill.
We were starving by the time we got into the house so we looked up possible restaurants to go to. It's a short walk to the main part of the town. The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. We stopped in a hotel restaurant but they couldn't accommodate us since we didn't make a reservation. Every restaurant we've been to asks if we have a reservation. That and whether we have allergies.

Finally,  we went to a bar with a restaurant. They told us we couldn't get seats in the restaurant part but if you walk by the bar, you can choose any open table. There were a couple tables available in the noisy bar but more tables outside so we ate outside for the first time on this trip. We had a good meal but mediocre sticky toffee pudding. The search continues. It's surprisingly warm here and should stay that way for the time we're here. Overall, we've had great weather.  Chilly and windy sometimes but very little rain, probably due to the fact we bought new raincoats and brought umbrellas.

It's clear everyone has dogs here and they seem to be welcome everywhere just like in Moreton. My bedroom doesn't have a closet. It has a cabinet with shelves. One of the shelves has dog pee pads.
